Essential Practices in Supervision
This course will provide the participant with the basic principles and processes needed to begin the practice of supervision for speech language pathology assistants (SLPAs), SLPA interns, clinical fellows, and graduate clinicians. Current state and ASHA policies on supervision will be reviewed.

This workshop will discuss steps that the clinical supervisor can take to provide a positive and productive learning experience for their supervisees. Establishing expectations and utilizing a variety of supervisory styles will be highlighted. Participants will also learn various teaching strategies to support different types of learners.
