  • The Bottom Line in Supervision - AM Session

     

    INTENDED AUDIENCE= SLPs.  This course is offered for 0.3 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate level; Related area)

    This course will provide an overview of supervision principles for speech-language pathology. Legislation and policies for supervision of CFYs, RPEs, and SLP Assistants at the state and national levels will be explained. Updates to supervision policies, including a review of current tele-therapy guidelines and the ASHA certification for SLP Assistants, will be discussed. This course will also explore Anderson’s continuum of supervision and components of effective supervision.

  • Communicating With Your Supervisee - PM Session

     

    INTENDED AUDIENCE = SLPs.  This course is offered for 0.3 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate level; Related area)

    This workshop will identify key aspects of communication that are an integral part of the supervision experience. Participants will learn different types of communication strategies for the different activities involved in supervision, such as providing feedback, developing critical thinking skills, and evaluation.

  • Specific Learning Disability and Learning Recovery

     

    Attendees of this workshop will gain knowledge regarding eligibility for a specific learning disability (SLD) using both discrepancy and patterns of strength and weakness models. Attendees will also develop their skills in determining how learning recovery impacts SLD eligibility determination.
